One Pitch Spring Tune-Up Softball Tournament Registration Deadline is April 23rd Divisions for Men’s Teams and Mixed/Coed Teams. Teams must have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12 players. Male and female players ages 16 and older are welcome to join. Fee is $100 for a full team. Registration Deadline is April 23rd and the tournament starts on Friday, April 30th at 6:00 pm. Championship Round will be held Saturday May 1st starting at 10:00 am. Contact Mike for more information.
Men's Adult League Softball - Games will begin in May and end in August. All games will be played at 8 pm under the lights at Memorial Park. Anyone interested in playing or sponsoring a team should contact (717) 806-0123. Deadline April 20th!
Yoga Mondays from 6:30 - 7:30 PM - 8 sessions that begin on April 5th Pre-Registration required and space is limited, fee $55. Instructor Christine Kortze. This class will teach centering and breathing and includes postures and poses done seated, supine, on the belly, and all fours. Participants will achieve proper alignment, elongation of the spine, and serenity all in this 60 minute class that is great for beginner and first timers. This class will also benefit those with back problems, weak abdominal and back muscles, stress, fatigue, overweight, depression. General health, stress release and developing firmer core muscles, will be the primary focus of this class. Participants are asked to please bring a yoga mat, an old tie, and a blanket.
Pilates Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm starting June 2nd (5 Weeks) Class fee is $40 and pre-registration is required because space is limited. Instructor: Beth Buckwalter AAAI/ISMA. Pilates is a method of body conditioning that combines stretching and strengthening exercises to tone muscles, improve posture, and increase flexibility by training your mind and body to work together. This class will teach you a series of controlled movements to strengthen your core muscles: abs, back, hips and thighs. Most movements are done on the floor, so please bring a mat and dress comfortably.
Women's Self Defense Class Tuesday evenings from 8:15 -9:30 pm starting May 11th (6 Sessions) Registration fee: $40. Instructor: John Riehl, Black Belt. This class is designed to educate you in risk reduction and minimize the danger of physical attack. This hands-on instruction teaches simple techniques for effective action if the attack can neither be prevented nor avoided. You will learn mental preparedness, escapes, strikes, and self-defense positions. You will also gain confidence in your own ability to deal with a sudden confrontation. Pre-Registration required and space is limited.
